Family Day Out
Wednesday, August 26th, 2009August weather has just been beautiful here giving us the perfect opportunity to get out and enjoy a day with the family. Recently we took the whole family to the Hunter Valley Gardens for my mum’s birthday and lucky us – the chocolate festival was on! It was very difficult to get out of the pavilion and go for a walk around but we did it. Got some great shots and really looking forward to scrapping them. So this week on the blog leave a comment and a link to your favourite layout of a day out with the family! All comments left on the blog will go into the draw to win a $15 Voucher!

Question of the Week
Thursday, August 13th, 2009Go to the forum and join in the fun and answer “Question of the Week”
How do you decide what embellishments you’re going to put on a layout and where you’re going to place them? Colour, theme, shape, size, type - how do you choose?
Do you like using clusters of embellsihments all together or go for a less cluttered, individual item appraoch?
Cybercrop: Alita’s Challenge
Saturday, August 8th, 2009Well girls - here’s your next challenge and its from Me
To complete a layout using the sketch given plus : -
Patterned Paper needs to come from different makers
Your title needs to be hand made
One item ineeds to be a none “nomal” scrapbooking item”
Thanks to Kim for the use of her sketch - check out her other sketches at Heirloom Scraps http://heirloomscrapssketches.blogspot.com/
And here is my Layout
So I’ve used 3 different papers - Basic Grey, Darkroom Door & Kaiser - all scraps
My title is a piece of chipboard, painted, then a rubon and then dimensional magic used on top
My non “normal” scrapping item is a piece of material that I used for journalling
Have fun girls
Cybercrop: Amanda’s Everyday Items Challenge
Saturday, August 8th, 2009Well here’s a challenge that will excite you I’m sure.
Amanda’s Everyday Items Challenge
I’d like you to think outside the square for this one and use at least 4 everyday items ie: products you’d find around your home or pieces of memorabillia and ephemera you’ve got stashed away that you wouldn’t normally use for scrapbooking in a layout.
In this sample I’ve used these items:
garment tag - from a Stussy T-shirt
tissue paper - from DD1’s recent birthday that I’ve scrunched and stuck to chippie alphas for the title
crepe paper
fabric scraps
embroidery thread
page from school exercise book
pages from a paperback book - The Pritikin Promise!
Dymo tape
paper doily
