I would describe myself as a conservative scrapper; I like clean, clear, uncluttered pages where the photographs are prominantly displayed. I strongly believe that scrapbooking is about recording precious memories for our children (and hopefully our children's children) to enjoy - thus they need to see the photographs clearly and also to read the journalling to discover what the photos are really about. I feel journalling is important as an adjunct to the photos in telling the story of the page.Although I love embellishments I don't let them dominate the photographs or use them simply because they're cute or trendy. I do mainly themed pages and I'm a tad obsessive about everything on the page being consistant with that theme. I like structured, linear pages that are balanced. (Maybe that's a touch of obssessionality too! LOL)
